ACL operation

The action a Kafka ACL controls, such as Read, Write or Describe on a topic.

Each request needs a specific operation on a specific resource: a consumer needs Read on its topic and Read on its group, and a producer needs Write on its topic. Some operations imply others, so Read on a topic also allows Describe.
