under-replicated partition

A partition with fewer in-sync replicas than its replication factor.

A broker that is down or falling behind leaves its partitions under-replicated. The UnderReplicatedPartitions metric should be zero on a healthy cluster, and kafka-topics --describe --under-replicated-partitions lists them.
