mtr
A tool that combines ping and traceroute, showing loss and latency at every router on the path to a host.
In more detail
traceroute and tracepath list the hops once by raising the time to live of each probe; mtr keeps probing, which shows where packets are lost. It shows whether loss starts at one router or only at the destination.
